UPDATED (more tires, pile of lights & hubs)
Even if the non-fascists manage to hold onto the White House the fash/bigot/misogynist percent of the electorate has reached the point where I am no longer feeling safe living in even one of the few sane parts of the american imperium, so rather than just abandon all of my bike mess I’m going to start selling it off.
I am very much in a make-me-an-offer mood; I’ll tell you what I paid for them (unless I don’t remember or they’re old enough to be worthless) but this is likely to be an everything must go sale because I suspect I’m going to be showing up at some other country’s border asking for asylum in the next year or so and none of this shit will be coming with me.
I have a huge pile of 650b rims:
- 2x Pacenti SL23s in black (650b×32h): I paid $140
- 2x Pacenti Brevets (650b×28h): I paid $120
- 2x Pacenti Brevets (650b×32h): " "
- 2x Pacenti Brevets (650b×36h): " "
- 2x Velocity A23s in shiny silver (650b×32h): " "
- 2x unmarked roughly A23-shaped rims (disc only), also shiny silver (650b×32h): ???
- 2x unmarket less roughly A23-shaped rims (disc only), black (650b×28h): ???
- 2x DT Swiss R470s, black (700c×32h): I paid ~$90
- 2x Velocity Twin Hollows, “silver” (700cx36h): They were on sale at Rivendell about 15 years ago, and are currently worth approximately $0. Pay for shipping or visit me and take them off my hands.
To go along with this festival of rims I’ve got some economy & non-economy tires:
- 4 col de la vies in their full thousands of little feet glory: I think I paid $20/each for them.
- 4 Specialized Sawtooth tire-shaped objects (tubeless, heavy as hell, 650b×47): I paid $10/each fo them.
- 2 Schwalbe Pro Ones, tubeless, 650b×28: They were a gift; maybe worth $70/each new?
… A few hubs:
- Ultegra 6800 rear hub (skewered, 32h, non-disc): worth approximately $0, take it for shipping.
- White rear CLD (purple, 32h, 12mm T-A, absolutely new in box): I think I paid $350 for it?
- S700 dynohub (black, 36h, skewer, centerlock): ???
UR705 dynohub (black, 32h, 12mm T-A, centerlock): I paid $95- S701 dynohub (black,32h,skewer,centerlock): I think I paid $60

- 2x ebay-special 30(ish) lux dyno headlights: I paid $20/each for them.
And finally some odds and ends:
- a purple Specialized stem (10cm, 9/8ths steertube, 27.2 bar clamp): ???
- a Berthoud Galibier in cork, with about 2000 miles on it: It was a gift, but as estrogen worked its magic on my system it became progressively less comfortable and I don’t use it anymore. Berthoud sells them for €223.04 as of about 10 minutes ago.
- A pair of SKS Blumels, in 60mm wide × 26" radius. These are at least 10 years old, but never percolated up to the top of my bike mess so are still in packaging: ???
- a Praxisworks crankset (black, GXP-diameter spindle, 172.5 arms, 110×5 bcd, no chainwheels, no bottom bracket): A gift so your guess at a price is as good as mine.
- a set of Magura HS-33 or HS-22 or HS-11 hydraulic rim brakes, flat bar levers, and tubing (assembled, probably needs a refill): I think I paid $100 for the set?
