Pavement bikes

I have aeronova bars. They are nice.

I didn’t get the aero ones, I got the extra lights, so they’re a pretty normal shape

Edit: oh ergo bar! Nah they’re a pretty normal compact drop

I’ve been riding my old bike the last few days

I flipped my stem around on the new bike thinking that my fancy new torque wrench was coming the next day, and then I got an email saying sold out like 5 days after I ordered it

Carbon Stems are one thing that I’d rather not go by feel

buy the $40 Tekton from Uncle Bezos like I did? or buy a Ritchey torque key?

Torque key is great for 90% of bike torque stuff

and the other 10% are torque ratings for “stop being a chicken and reef on that crank bolt or lockring”

Any thoughts on Ribble Endurance 725? Reynolds 725, 68mm BSA, fender mounts, fits 700x32, custom color options,$1000.
I probably won’t be able to buy a bike for a while after I get my Marino but I’ve been wanting a new mostly pavement bike and this one tics a lot of boxes.

Do they have stock in your size? Only small was avail when I clicked through.

Looks good otherwise though, ribble are good value IMO.

They don’t have my size but I won’t be seriously looking for at least a few months.

Value does seem spot on. Definately on the higher end of what I want to spend on a road bike but most of the cheaper options suck and the better options I can’t afford.

Time to spend six months unsuccessfully scouring craigslist then another six months convincing myself I can buy a new bike.

i was eyeing the ribble endurance bikes pretty hard before ending up with my Giant Contend (which i love and can’t recommend enough)
and what i gathered is

  • you wont find them used on this side of the pond
  • it’ll cost as much as a similar bike stateside once you pay to get it here

They have always made a sensible “audax style” road bike for good value, if you don’t mind the wait I say go for it.

I’m in the process of swapping a fun but possibly busted frame for a Soma Fog Cutter, I can report back here once it’s built up for general performance as a pavement bike. They’re like $650 frame only

I’m thinking this bike does not suck for $600 can someone tell me I’m wrong? Fits most 35mm tires according to the internet.

i bet that doesn’t suck

my only questions would concern a 35mm tire, a 41cm chainstay, and your probable desire for fenders

rapid tour is 42.5, that circle isn’t on the right bike.

73*, 73*, 58 square
y not

why is it like that

whats up with the cowardly 425 when 420 is possible

Fixed the image.

I asume chainstays are 425 to accommodate panniers.

Wife is looking for a new roadbiek and I’m looking for reccs. She found the All City Zig Zag and really likes it, but it’s overpriced.

Any tarck faves for a small frame, disc, crabon fork, and can fit let’s say 700x32 or slightly larger?
