Bikes are cheaper here, but probably due to there being a million mtbs for sale

Used market here has been kinda rough here.
I’d been looking on-off for something to replace a 2015 bronson, some maybes, no screaming deals.

Going to finally get the front wheel built back up.
Radial or no?
Leaning more towards no myself because I like consistency/symmetry(?) but at the same time I also really like the look of a radially laced wheel.
I got a new hoop too so it won’t have that brake wear on it.

Is radial allowed for the hubs you plan to use ?
Dropper for sup’s commuter so she can put a foot down while kid is on the Macride — worth it?
With the macride collar, you’d only get ~ 50mm of travel I estimate

Worth it for sure. So much more secure with feet down, helps with dismount too. And the dropper continues to be useful when kiddo is learning on their own wheels, you’re always stopping and leaning down to help.

Probably! I didn’t consider that last time when it was a low flange campy to white deepV and that seemed fine…
But yeah after looking at it more I think I’d hate it, and it’s not true to the bike. If I was made of money I’d do it on a second front wheel.
The OneUp 27.2 comes in a 90 or 120 mm drop. The V2 model could change the drop by 30 mm. I’m not sure if the V3 can. The construction looks the same. You just swap out the little brass pins.
What was the one that had the cut to fit travel shim?
most of the basic droppers can be shimmed down with a piece of ziptie in one if the keyways.
