my partner bought one of these last year, then had to spend another $150 to get a little hole drilled and cable port welded in so the cable can come out nicely at the bottom of the seat tube. but he says it is worth it as it makes descending more pleasant (his use case is riding a fully rigid 90s mtb on some trails on occasion).
A lost opportunity to add an anodized quick release seatclamp.
I am continually perplexed by that design

Dynamo or no on my SSCX bike that I ride around town and lock up?
I know based on the question alone a lot of people are gonna say to dynamo it. What are some good reasons not to?

Someone will tell you that you left your light on
If u ever decide to race it will be weird
Costs more money
Wires are ugly
God frowns on electricity
If it is your first dynamo, then you will want dynamo lights on all your bikes and it will cost you even more money
Dynamos are overrated
cost is highly offset by already having the lights + ability/tools to build a wheel. Mostly it’s also I wanna be lazy and not take lights off my bike when I get places.
