Poll: How to shift my Ciocc

DT

Shimano bar end shifters double as downtube shifters. Buy a set for like $50 on eBay, and try out both setups.

Personally, I like bar end better. You still have both hands on the bar during a shift, which just feels safer to me.

Dt for the classy OG look

or

barcon’s on dirt drops with some racks and a triple crank for the tight toury look. then tour it.

I’d do brifters but then I don’t even have a road bike so don’t listen to me.

Oooooh, sorry. The correct answer was: “Take the shifters you were saving for you cyclocross bike and use those.”

Thanks for playing.

P.S. I am so fucking excited about this bike.

Shoulda gone downtube

Pfft retro groutch

I’m as much a fan of retro stuff as the next guy, but that shit looks fun.
I also have a weird affinity for steel bikes with modern componenetry.

i’m down with the brifters and am starting to love old steel with brifters and the occassional CF fork.

This is high up the list of my favorite kind of bike. That is a mighty fine looking bicycle.

A combination of new and old. Good combination.
