My understanding of dynamo hubs is basically that a shimano or SP 3w hub will get you a (mostly) durable, low drag, adequate hub for whatever you’re doing with a dynamo hub. The 1.5w hub will provide less power (duh) but again, is probably just fine for whatever. There’s no point overthinking it, and certainly no point overspending it.

Also, Max, don’t try to be cool. We aren’t cool at all.
