So World Cup cyclocross is not on TNT and HBO anymore. I guess fucking flo sports has them. Boo.
I also couldn’t get any of the normal countries to get a UCI feed to work. Or, really, I couldn’t see any live videos of this past weekend’s races at all on those feeds. Eventually got a direct link, but it always said wasn’t available in country. Maybe the update Hola VPN wasn’t doing as good.
Glad to see MVDP waited until the 3rd lap to end the race on Sunday. Maybe he was a bit tired from his double flat, but still kick everyones ass on Saturday.

Following how close, I guess. To me drafting off of someone you don’t know is obnoxious in pretty much any context.
Not that I have been worth drafting behind for a few years now…
But would a pro be pretty used to descending at speed with someone they don’t know particularly well on their wheel? Sometimes a complete stranger, even? Like that’s not an abnormal situation for them
For the sake of argument, in a pro peloton you can make some reasonable assumptions about the skills and intent of the folks behind you.
“Do the brakes on this schmuck’s bike work? Do they know how to use them?”
“are they planning to do something stupid so they can say they got the drop on the Waco Kid?”
I’m probably just expressing a very old grudge, but having people right behind me outside of a race or structured group ride gives me the willies.

Phil’s annoying, but this is the first I’ve heard of the LA28 road course. Big news to me, because these are my home roads, and this course sounds pretty great, if its the real one.
