if i subscribe to GCN from an american IP address, with an american credit card, will i be able to VPN myself to the UK to watch the giro/tour/vuelta? has anyone tried this?
if you have GCN and a VPN, could you set your VPN to the UK and try to watch dwars? that is a race that is not available in the US.
As far as I can tell, yes. I had to vpn to the uk to watch a race blocked here. I also had to vpn to use my euro GCN account for all of the races to show up when visiting the US.

thank you! i will test it myself momentarily by trying to watch a dwars replay. but didn’t want to spend $45 to be immediately unhappy

tldr it works!
here is the process i used
VPN off (US IP address)
link GCN to my google account to create an account
say i’m in the US
sign up using US credit card and billing zip
switch browsers
turn VPN on to UK
log in using same google account
click dwars
and am actively watching, and it says i will be able to watch flanders on sunday.

I don’t even have to go through that process to vpn with GCN on mine. I can have the GCN page open and just click my vpn to UK (I use TunnelBear) and it works.

That said, still should be a great race. The field looked pretty deep in Dwars despite the obvious standout.

Btw, to get this race to show in the GCN app from the US, I opened the app, clicked the race tab, saw the race wasn’t listed. Turned on the vpn, , went back to the app (didn’t close it), clicked the home tab, clicked the race tab and it was there.
