Randonneurs (randos), use metric for distances; it'll make them feel like a longer ride: rando chat‽

Fucked up big time yesterday
Sent the unedited route and there was a dead end and at least a couple folks bushwhacked through.
Very mad at myself right now
Taking steps to figure out.

Maybe set up a routine to pass the routes off to someone else to look over after you’re done, then wait for their go-over before publishing?

There’s gotta be someone out there in the rando community other than me who compulsively makes routes and can do the looky-loo for you.

1 local rider is there, he said that many are doing a 400k return trip

Here’s another rando bag maker

That’s a nice looking bag. I’ve always wanted something from Atwater. Mainly because they stock burgundy cordura and I’m obsessed. I have like 9 bags with burgundy cordura.

only velcro strapped to rack though

@LASER_BEIGE have you heard anything about the TIMTAS bags on etsy

I’ve seen them online

feels bad

Local 4 digit member took a spill on the ride this weekend and broke bones, went to the hospital. This is and has been my worst fear. I don’t want to say any more about that for now.

Being the lead has taken a lot of the fun out of the club for me, I feel like I don’t get the joy rides as often.

PBP is in 1.75 years, just enough time to get it together.
Anyone?

That means riding this winter and getting in shape and 2026 is a qualifying year, right? Asking for me.

Still hoping to pull out a 200k before the end of the year, but the only one left on local org’s calendar is a night ride. Might be time to start shopping for dynamo + lights.

We have a 125 and 150 the first December weekends, come visit. Both are flat ish

Do people only use the flat cut-off styled dynamo lights over there?
