Road Bikes

WTF? What is that ‘chain ring’?

Its a Suntour Microdrive Crankset, 56mm bcd a 20T chain ring

Crappy picture of my 87? Bianchi Sport SX. Just got it last Saturday and haven’t had much time to ride it, but hopefully that changes tonight

mad boners for older bianchi road bikes. looks good.

I suggest we wordfilter “road bikes” into “rad bikes.”

Its for riding up the auto road on Mt Washington NH.

7.6 miles, Average 12% grade with long sections of 18% and the last 50 yards is 22%
no flat spots and no downhill.

If the weather is good this year I may ride up 4 times.

I’m hoping to ride the Pista up again.[/quote]

Whats your average speed usually and at what cadence?

Cool bike.

Err? I just rode up on the 8th in 1:46:52
So about 5mph? 70rpm?

I’m running a 20t chainring and a 14/26 9 speed cassette

I’m kind of bummed. In '93 i did it in 1:25:59 but I was 20lbs lighter and 15 years younger…

Never posted my bike in the thread I created specifically for that purpose. Anyways, I’m selling it now, so I guess it’s time to post it up:

Oh yeah, I’m replacing it with this:

Yawn… nothing too exciting. A Mercian was in the plans before the dollar really started sucking. :colbert:

^Nice lookin’ bike.

dook, I really like your bikes, the torpado especially

Heres my road whip, resting at Sunset state beach:

I think the frame is Bridgestone, but it is a mystery. A week after I purchased the bike this guy backed his pickup over it, bending the shit out of the rear triangle, wheel and derailleur and cracking the drive side chainstay. Josh Muir replaced the chainstay and more recently reinforced the seatstay/seatube lug junction when it started cracking. this frame is kind of fucked, unfortunately.

8 speed Dura Ace derailleurs and shifters. Dura Ace headset, cranks and bb. Shimano 600 wheels. Tektro brakes and levers. MKS pedals with NJS toeclips and campy straps (I accidentally got medium toeclips instead so I made a wooden spacer to make them fit for the time being). Shitty seatpost with Selle Italia flite. Cinelli stem and bars (66’s).

here’s mine!
someone buy it already!!! :bear:

want this so badly

I plan on grinding all the shifter bosses and derailleur hanger off, and then respraying it a generic shitty single color and putting Weinmann DP18’s and a top tube pad on it. :colbert:

In all seriousness, it is great to go on a balls-out sprint until you can’t move your legs anymore and then just coast.

cross bike in road mode.

Slightly off topic but I thought I’d ask if anyone can identify this road bike, something about it interests me. It’s been for sale for a couple weeks now and it might go down a little in price soon. If I bought it I don’t think it would stay pink but you never know. It’s a pretty punk rock pink, so maybe.

What, you’ve never heard of ‘Campy’ the leading Italian laxative, makes every dump a ‘smooth’ one.
