I hate to go comic book guy on this but proper or not, that’s definitely not roman. It’s a bunch of greek and roman letters mixed together to look cool. But the greek letters are all wrong; their R is really a G, the N is really a P, etc etc. It’s basically a tarck leet font, or something like those asian script tattoos that white people get that are supposed to say “strenght and wisdom” but really say “moo shoo pork”.

Hmm, stumped me then, and I took a full year of college Latin and one term of Roman Civ. It did look like some early ancient Roman inscriptions from our Wheelock book, though. I’ll see if I can dig up the picture I’m talking about.

Some Wikepeeding just now has yielded an article on the Cumae alphabet, the greek-esque immediate ancestor of the Latin alphabet. Maybe that’s what you saw. Anywayz the greek letters are still wrong and i think it’s safe to say that the rogue status guys don’t know a lot more about ancient scripts than either of us. smirks in nerdish victory
