this isint the first fixed gear bike that schwinn made we cant forget the madison
The Madison is nicer for sure.
wayy better that the $299 se draft…however brakes are pretty jank though…
This bike is observably a complete piece of shit and no one here should be supporting or advocating garbage like this.
Strangely enough, it’ll sell like crazy.
of course, but you have to agree its head and shoulders above the draft.
still no reason to choose this over a kilo.
- a lot.
I hate the fucking SE.
I don’t mind that thing nearly as much for some reason.
Those are going to sell like mad.
I spy fender eyelets too. Sweet.
- a lot.
yeah now that ive looked at it more, its pretty horrible. especially the cranks/chainring. …if you can call it a chainring. schrader valves too. i know it doesnt matter a whole lot what kind of valves the rims are drilled for but they give a bike like that a very low-end feel… . which makes sense i guess since its a low-end bike. bleh.
i wish someone would stop the schwinn madness : (
It’s a super low-end bike, I’m betting it’s all hi-ten steel. I’m hardly Defender of the Tarck, but anyone who cares about bikes and loves riding fixed should be embarrassed and considering selling their rigs after seeing crap like this.
Given Schwinn/Pacific’s relationship with big box retailers, I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if that’s where this bike was headed. This is seriously no better than a Next or Magna; we’re only talking about it because it’s fixed.
It’s not fixed.
Just SS
are they sold at wal-mart?
i mean, my local schwinn dealer?
walmart online sold fuji tracks for a while…
done and done.
That was a joke from Mr. Stormcrow.
haha, was it?
fooled me…damn.
Haha, someone fell for that? Niiiice.
yeah whats a paramount
In a way, I think that this bike is actually moving in the right direction. The Pacific bikes in wal-mart are crap mostly because they try to make them too complex for the $150 price point. If the company sees a market in more stripped down, SS bikes, then maybe they’ll move away from the 50lb full-sus and start making $150 rigid single speed mtb’s. These would not only be much more practical for the majority of the people who purchase them, but they’ll also save countless hours of work for your local co-op volunteers attempting to repair the drivetrains (before eventually SSing them anyway).
At $299, it seems to be bound for the same places they sell the madison, which is not wal-mart. If they priced it down to $200, I could see real promise for it.
