It does seem odd in an otherwise fastidiously (and expensively) matchy-matched bike.
sometimes aesthetic concessions have to be made for a drivetrain that Actually Works. honestly i respect it. I’m more annoyed by the small 11-34 cassette on the 1x setup, shoulda stuck a GRX derailleur on there and gotten an actually useful range of gears.
using the Dura Ace 11-speed barend on the paul thumbie mount is a nice touch.
