TAF, JA, or just WTH?

Is it just me, or did someone take a frame with the most amazing finish and bodge it together with spare parts to the point of ruining it? It could have been so amazing.

I don’t hate that

It’s not bad
The clown puke paint is :person_shrugging:
The stem it for fitment which is fine
The 0 setback post must also be for fitment
The non matchy stem and post image me a lil
Why isn’t the fork painted yet?

i think you gotta get a stem to match your seatpost before you post it to the radavist even if it doesn’t fit you

doesnt look like paint to me. looks anodized.

Mixing a Grand Mighty crank and a Campy(?) ring is meh, and def need to match the post and stem…but otherwise, fine.

If that’s a race bike then it’s perfect.

ano is over, we spraypainting bikes with leftover garage krylon again.

after further review, we have determined that the finishes on the ring, crank, and stem in fact do not match. flag on the play, JA

Headset/spacers/stem/post/post clamp are all over the place. They certainly don’t all need to match and probably shouldn’t, but should be better and work with the crank better too.

it’s so close to being great.

they took the “use all the colors” paint scheme to its next logical step, which is “use every accessory color” but still fell way short of the full mismatch:

  • different color pedals L/R
  • four different types of bar tape
  • mismatched tires and rims
  • spoke rainbow
  • two-tone chain

I think it’s great and more bikes should have mismatched parts

The only thing I don’t like is the chain

I did a little internet stalking of the owner and determined that they are a race promoter and that bike gets ridden at the Carson velodrome.

I think the splatter ano was a marketing tool to draw attention to their Cannondale track clone.

I saw it in person over the weekend, frame def pops more in person than in the photos. There were a couple other ano attacked frames they had on hand as well from their ‘Beach Club’ brand.

I don’t like the stem.
Mis-matched ring and crank arms say “I have a Euro-Asia track bag with 47-52t rings in whatever brand I scored at the t-town swap” and matches the “I’m probably a cat 2 but I don’t make anywhere close to six figures” vibe of the whole bike.

White just makes me think you stole from your 2007 mtb

Huh, looks like the basket is holding up the rack (at least in the front).

A chromed-out ATB with utilitarian basket and bullmoose bars? YES.

Lose the dork disc and it’s perfection.
