You can rip the ugly flap off of those DX’s in 2 minutes and they’ll look much better. Add some nice laces and they’re ok. You’ll have to tuck the laces in real good if you do that, of course, the flap is there to keep them from getting into your chain.

I’m not your average Tarck Biker, who has to wear super hot expensive tennis shoes everywhere I go, but those Adidas are seriously unacceptably ugly. I’m talking about a regular flat-soled tennis shoe like a Samba (my favorite shoe ever) or Dunk, but with SPD compatibility. It wouldn’t be ideal for riding, and it wouldn’t be ideal for walking, but it would be a great compromise for people who are on their bikes all day long, as I often am.
clipless sambas would be nice. or even chucks. anything normal looking with a slightly stiffer sole and a cleat.
