Truth. My two main disc wheelsets both have cracked spoke holes, in about the same mileage and conditions that the rim would need to be replaced if they were rim brake. Modern disc bikes ride like such shit anyway. I say go for it, the frame, more importantly, the fork rides good, and it’s relatively cheap as fuck right now.
Get on that Bontrager kick and re-roll your own rims if it comes down to it
