Tubeset -
Columbus with the following markings: “TUBI SPECIALI RINFORZATI” & “ACCIAIO NIVACROM” & “EXTRA EL LEGGERI” & “DOPPIO SPESSORE”.
The fork also has a Columbus sticker on it that reads: “FODERI” & LAMINATI", and the 1" (inch) threaded steer tube extends from the top of the head tube 33mm abouts or approx. 1.25".
Bottom bracket spek: 69mm x 40mm, Italian threaded
Seat post: good ol’ 27.2
Rear spacing = 130mm of goodness and fun.
Oddities and bingadings:
- The bottom bracket shell is an Italian made Cinelli with the following stampings: 55 EIL? and 3010 on the drive side. Not sure what the “EIL” means, maybe just EL? Ask Roland. He used these bb’s on some of his earlier frames or so I am told.
- As seen in photos: several assorted bingadings in the form of paint chips. The only really noticeable one is unfortunately on the head badge. Oh well, so sad, so lippy. It’s just paint dang it!
The frame is in impeccable condition and was recently inspected by the crew at High Desert Bicycles, and received a clean bill of health!

Columbus EL is some old school high-zoot lightweight (thin wall) nivacrom tubing. That bike is for a skinny fucker.
