I used to, but the other day I left a full length toothbrush in my feed bag, and brushed my teeth enroute. Damn it felt so good.

I drink enough coffee to make a horse anxious

I’m also anxious

But I love coffee

It me.

I tend to quit coffee for 6 months or so every few years, as a treat. I’m probably due for a period of abstinence right about now tbh.

I have undergone an occasional decaf detox, usually when I’m sleeping really poorly, and often on an alcohol fast as well. the first week is rough

Drinking lots of strong coffee was a prerequisite for Swedish citizenship.

A native can get away with tea, but an immigrant? Fika or die.

A nice hot coffee on a full belly, especially after desert, is awesome

Maybe that means we are ADHD? Like ADHD peeps take speed to feel normal right?

It maybe could mean that.

ADHD people are more likely to really enjoy coffee (and cigarettes and cycling and video games etc) because of the dopamine deficiency stuff but caffeine sensitivity has to do with metabolism speed. If you metabolize it quickly, you don’t enjoy it because it’s mostly withdrawal.

Self-medication is a time-honored way to deal with ADHD. It’s one of the diagnostic criteria.

After I started medication for the first time, my coffee consumption dropped to almost nothing. I also literally forgot I had a bag of weed in my bedside stand, because I lost the cravings immediately. I just didn’t need them anymore.

I recently switched to decaf after morning and it has helped a lot. At some point I had to admit all the caffeine was doing more harm than good.
