I have the VO Milan bar on my tandem and am looking to keep the 22.2 controls but have a couple more hand positions, since we do longer rides. Has any one tried the Soma 3-speed II bar and have an opinion on it?

Never moustache bars. Never. I’ve never had issues with using cruiser bars on long rides with good grips and good gloves, but for genuine multiple hand positions there’s all the jones bars and similar titec, origin8 batwing/strongbow

I’ll admit, I like the way moustache bars look (when they’re set up nice and flat) But, man, they feel terrible.

OK thanks I needed that shot of reality.
I think we’ve all seen a proper XO bridgey and been tempted, but with 22.2 controls, mustache bars just look like garbage. And if the hand position is no better, I’ll stick with what I’ve got.
I moved all the controls toward the center in the hopes of getting more hand position variation. XL ESI’s or another set of Ergons?

I do like the Ergon GC1 for the swept bars. Very comfy.

Cool I just got us both the esi xl extra chunky grips. I have ergons on our other tandem but I’m looking forward to being able to move around a bit. Ergons kinda lock me in to one spot
Pro tip: most bmx grips are as long or longer than the xl esis and cost a fraction as much
