If he’s going to offer something so grotesque, that should be the only bar on all of Tom Ritchey’s personal bicycles until the end of time.

but it has aero tops and champ stripes, it must be good

That’s definitely for the “I use all three positions on my handlebars” set.

So I had these old On-One Midge things from last decade and got curious. Put them on my Radlawn, but feck I ran out of twine.
After 30 min spin: Not terrible in the drops. My hoods don’t seem optimal either. Lots of space for forearms on tops, for sphinxing. Steering is great; far better than expected (cuz lo trail).

A $125 … steel cruiser bar?

Reminds me of these soma bars I tried. Did not like. https://www.somafabshop.com/shop/product/soma-handlebar-dream-riser-2186?category=977

but this one is 31.8 which was surely expensive and difficult

all so your minimum stem length can be longer and more expensive too

and steel handlebars surely weren’t already waaay too stiff in skinny diameters

@BicyclePears this could benefit from illustration?

How are you going to lecture people about ‘steel is real’ with aluminum bars?

Side note, why are pinion shifters still so ugly?

Looks like that is a Rohloff shifter:
