Unf. that monostay is HOT! And seeing the bike with a fender and tires, that fork crown/head tube area is totally acceptable.

I’ve HAD that setup with the levers flipped. Stupid re-working of handlebars is a crucial step in bike enthusiasm, ideally an early one from which one moves on
