I like Axiom for normal bikes, Tubus for balling hard
Generally, something made of tube and not solid bar, with some round strut attachment instead of straps, without other bolted-together parts

Haven’t seen any recs for prefab bike storage for like, 8+ bikes in a garage. Hanging all over the place like bats is not an option.
See the howbikesyouown thread for context…
I missed the chance to get someone in my family to buy me a bidet for my birthday.
ATMO:
Or something like it. I’ve got a contraption I made from conduit and 2x4s. Gonna go legit once I figure out how long I need it to be.
So get four of these and some surplus pipe?

Which wet brakes / fluid types had issues? I’ve got 2 bikes with Shimano mineral wet brakes now and both of them have hung like this for years without issue.
story is that 685 levers are leaky and make the hood covers slide around (I have experienced this)
and that 785 calipers are a lil leaky and make the pad-rotor interaction real shrieky (I have experiencd this but maybe because I’m a fucking slob when it comes to bike maintenance)
Huh, that’s interesting, I have both those levers/calipers and haven’t had any issues yet.
Shart me this tarch.
If these calipers leak when tilted, why don’t they jizz out mineral oil when squeezed?
This is meant in the true dq spirit, I don’t know hydros at all
This sort of breaks it down:

I’ve noticed the dreaded Shimano leak on bikes that don’t get ridden as often, like wief mountain bike. All my bikes are stored in a barn at ambient air temperature too, so they get freezing in the winter. The seals get fucked from sitting and temp change. They’re not going to squirt oil, but they leak a tiny enough amount to drive you nuts with the squealing.
Better give the day/ruiner levers a squeezy-squeeze when I get home tonight
Ah, this is a good clue. All my hanging hydro bikes have lived in heated/cooled indoor spaces since I’ve built them up.
I knew a simple answer was eluding me.
I’m on my 3rd iteration. 1st was 2x4s and saw horse brackets, which weren’t exactly up to the task of holding a 10ft long 2x4 with like 8 bikes hanging off of it.
Currently using 1/2" rigid conduit, which is horribly undersized, but had a stick sitting in the garage so I went with it.
Plan is to buy that feedback stand I posted earlier or to make something if I need it to be longer, which I think I might.
The Feedback is a good portable stand I have some experience with. A group I know in Madison did manage to break one by loading it down with an unremembered number of hambieks at a hambiek-specific event, but they made good with free replacement parts and friendly service.
The site says “up to 8 bikes.” I put on 7 with my personal hambiek in the middle and it seemed to be flexing more than I’d like. Still a major improvement with minimal dithering for me. Will try additional measures to break it and report back.
There is some cool shit in there.
I actually bought the o-rings and did this, completely 100% fixed the squeal that would resurface a month or two after re-torching/sanding my pads and cleaning everything
If you have a shimano wet brake and this is an issue you have, I can send you a couple o rings in a regular ass envelope, I have 20 of them
This is an issue for the XT brakes on my MTB. I think I’d rather just buy new brakes than completely disassemble and reassemble my current brakes.
Which Shimano brakes are y’all having problems with? I’ve got m8000 and the previous generation on my two mountian bikes and no issues.
