The "What's it Worth" Thread Redux

Pros closet is definitely more selective and paying lower post bankruptcy. They offered 1800 for my partners evil wreckoning (2021, full xo1, zeb/super deluxe ultimate, i9 hydra Enduro wheelset).

The offer was about 60% of the retail price, so I’m guessing they have a minimum dollar value they want to hit (seems to be about the $1k mark for frames)

That seems reasonable for a frame price target.

The same day I sent in my frame my buddy sent in his Ripmo AF with some nicer DVO suspension, GX drivetrain, and Hunt wheels and I think they offered him $1300 cash or $1500 trade-in.

I want to sell my reeb frame, but unsure how to price it with this dent in the seatstay. With no dent I’d probably list it for around $3000 cad. How much should I knock off for the dent? It’s steel so shouldn’t affect much other than the value.

It would make much more sense to sell this as a frameset w/brakes/seatpost/headset than it would with a new 105 group and FSA crankset right? Fits 40 in the rear and 48 in the front.

Frameset for $100 seems a sure thing, complete maybe $200 if that?

Depends on what you want to do with the 105. I agree frameset with a couple of part is $100 easy, maybe a bit more if you catch one of the x-biking crowd in a moment. But if you just want to be rid of it nothing wrong selling complete.

I’d typically list it as a frameset but don’t un-build it yet, include the built pic and a price for complete or frameset+drivetrain, that kind of thing.

I might pull the fenders and list larger max tire sizes, at least try to get the rear to 42 ATMO.

I guess I want to keep the potential in my parts hoard, maybe something thrilling will come along that deserves new parts.

This is a good reminder, I always forget I can do this. Would be the best idea since I can show and list saddle height, bar reach, etc. Bike has weird but good geometry and probably needs to go to a fellow bike nerd.
