Christmas bike ride with the wife was fail. Massive headwind plus cold plus her already not feeling good = short ride and early trip to the showers.

so i put together a SS for a girlfriend, she used it a lot but never really got into bikes or riding fixed while we were together. after 7 months she broke up with me and started dating this guy who rode fixed and all of a sudden she was way into learning about bikes and started building a fixed ride. once that is done she’s giving the bike i made for her to one of her friends.
i’m never making a bike for a girlfriend again, but making a bike for a wife is cool.

This was in reference to the fact that Happy did post a photo of his wife having their child. IMHO you cant get more tarck than that.Therefor by default they are the tarckest family! It was actually pretty cool, she gave him permission to post it. I would link the thread but I am to lazy

I fixed up a bike for a girlfriend once. She never rode it and seemed to take issue with my increased riding. She broke up with, started dating another guy, and now rides her bike all over town. Fuck her. I will never try to get a girl into riding again. Hopefully I can find a girl that’s already into it.

I have given my wife a couple of bikes over the years. She really appreciated the first one, sorta dug the second one, and when I built the third one she was like “another bike?” I need to get creative with the next one or she’ll probably give me a nice PITD to show her appreciation.

My wife fucking hates fixed gear bikes!, Im not even allowed to bikes around her. The only way I was able to get her on a bike was to restore an old Schwinn for her, at least its a single speed.
