Hand to god I’m considering painting the insides of my next tubeless project tires with contact cement and see if I can make a go of it without sealant. Fuggit
I know. Crazy. You’d never expect me to consider a wingbat idea like that.

I’d explain but this idea is so stupid I’m afraid of giving it any mo…
Probably just as well… when Fred wakes up… or goes to bed… or comes down or whatever… and reads this, you’re in for a lecture.
He only talks to Panaracer, Challenge, Vittoria, and FMB so it’s never come up
Won’t shut up about Schurter winning on Dugast tubulars but will not acknowledge that he’s been trading the world cup podium back and forth with Absalon on extra-stiff ProTection Continentals
He respects the quality of their tubes but Schwalbe and Continental can apparently only make Marathons and Gatorskins. He’s even shittier about the taiwanese manufacturers, can’t tell them apart and assumes they all only make walmart tires.
good thing we’ll be in a car together for hours tomorrow!
I’m not sure if I’m relieved or disappointed that I won’t be in that car.
Lulz.
Tell him to at least spray some fix-a-flat in there.
He must be bummed the Schurter just won Olympic Gold on stock Maxxis tubeless-ready tires, then.
oh he already learned that lesson
those tires forever carry the mark of cain
@marc I switched to orange seal and it seems to be a bit better so far
Is there a non-Compass priced 26 slick(ish) tire that doesn’t weigh a TON? The Nomads are 754g EACH
Pretty sure tarck is into Tioga Powerblocks for that use case
Tioga Powerblock in folding beadway
are hutchinson sectors the go-to 28mm tubeless ready?
CST and Rubena have some 26" file tread/semi slicks, some should even be tubeless-able. generally cheap too
I looked on vittoria’s site and they aren’t listing the voyager hyper any more
What are some other go-tos in the 700x 35-40 range?
S Spec if available in yr size. I think they come in 26 x 2.1.
Talk to me about 650b tires. Currently running Panaracer Pasela PT (42s) and they’ve held up well on everything I’ve taken them on, but they’re at the end of their life. Looking for something I can do gravel, city, and everyday on.
Ladybiek has the same paselas as you and she loves them.
I got a set of grand bois hetre, which are highly regarded for everything except mud, snow, so that might be a no-go for your PNW lifestyle. I haven’t got the bike built up so I can’t tell you.
Paselas are my go-to, though.

You should just buy out the remaining stock from Planet X and then distribute among tarckers.
I’ve been riding the Rando Hypers that I got cheap from Nashbar and they have been a real nice balanced tire. I’m just as curious as you about what a replacement would be.
