riding tight circles on my bike
with straps tight
is a good way to fall down
You guys are scaring me with the lack of skid skills!
Get those over the seat skids dialed before the track stands. My 2¢.
wheelies first
I practice at red lights. I try not to skid but sometimes the rear wheel just locks up, like today, downhill, tiles, and rain, skidzors.
i can track stand while masturbating and playing ping pong. it took a while but i got it down.
i can’t do the skidz. front center on my bike is too short. the rear wheel will bounce then my bike just tries to make the trick a mega skidz with my face and the pavement.
Why ride fixed if you can’t trackstand? Isn’t that the whole point?
no its about being zen
I think I’ll open a trendy restraunt/night club that bastardizes and makes light of christianity, see how that flys.
Kinda like this:
But with a goofy characturized Jesus, just maxin and relaxin on the cross, instead of the Laughing Buddha
I’ve never skidded and don’t have any desire to learn how. It just seems pointless when I can stop extremely quickly by applying pedal resistance and a touch of front brake. I trackstand a bit at stoplights, but usually start slowing down well before I’m there so I can keep my momentum going. So there, I’m a total lame-o as far as tarck techniques are concerned.
I ride brakeless and I can skid if I want to, but I ride tubulars (ballin’ on Corsa Evo CXs) so if I ever have to waste my tires in slowing down that my legs can’t handle, I usually do skips. On nice weather days I commute 25km one way and my foot never touches the ground unless I get off my bike to go in a store, etc. I wish I could trackstand no handed at all lights, but so far only a few of the shorter lights.
I skip down hills but can’t trackstand yet. I couldn’t skid at all on my friend’s smaller bike, but with mine it’s easy as anything.
I can trackstand no hands and whip skid either side whateva, whateva
Skipping is definitely a waaay faster way to stop than backpedaling, but I run a front brake so I usually do a combo of backpedaling and braking when I’m super tired to save on the tires. Whip skids are done simply for fun or maneuverability. And wtf is up with tarckbike making skid s into skid z?!
Because anything with Z’s are better then thingz with S’s
what are whip skidz?
No sir, San Diego is my place of residence. So many dorks here but the weather’s nice.
Whipping the tire to one side or the other by turning slightly and leaning right before you skid. I start sitting down and lock my legs, and turn/lean slightly, and I kinda get pushed out of the seat a little. It seems to slow me down faster than straight skidding.
Its like drifting.
i know what you speak of. just wasn’t sure if that was what he referred to as a whip skid.
