I had to drive myself. I’m a stoner but not when I gotta drive.

New project time and I’d love y’alls help.

For the same “project” (I still can’t talk about it yet fully but will soon be able to release details) I need a road bike. More specifically, I need a frame and a certain company will be providing all the rest of the components.

I’ve had a few conversations with Jeremy at Sycip, which seems promising but figured I’d reach out here as well.

Not looking for sweetheart bro deals - we’ve got real world $$ to spend.

Basically looking for a really good fit, good looking bike, and fun colors. Technically it needs to be thru axle, DI2 compatible and disc brake.

We’ve also got a bit of time on this - looking to have the bike in hand by May/June 2021.

Oh, and likely looking at steel because I’m still fat and short and will probably stay this way.

Why not Winter?

I don’t think Natalie Ramsland is the one torching frames but she’s still designing under the Sweetpea name:

Moth Attack? Megan is super rad and most likely down to push some things around for a project.

I hear Rodriguez will build pretty much anything.

She wants a bike, not a knife.

Goddamnit I just got rid of a perfect 52 cm Boulder (ex-wife’s bike that she did not appreciate)

i think marley rides a size down anyway

Why not both?

does not currently have a framebuilding shop set up. but would be a great choice otherwise

Seconded. Massively under-rated.

I think a 52 would be way too big. My Surly is a 42 (geometry here) and I know numbers are silly and meaningless, but 52 sounds huge.

Hmm I suspect that Surley’s geo is reportedly differently?I actually thought that the absolute smallest size that bikes come in is 50 cm (maybe 48). My ex was only 5’2" on a 52 cm.

If you want fun colors Zukas is killing it

Does not compute. Maybe if it’s upright with swept bars? I’m a 5’5" gorilla and my roadie top tube is 54cm.
