Twitter is blocked at work, plz repost here
the loosenuts cycles background is an eagle with double t rex heads with kings crowns on and above that monster is a pyramid with an eye of provenance inside of it. rays of light/wisdom/protection glaring from the pyramid…
They have spent way more time in this weird twitter back and forth than it would have taken to make an account here and just post, “Thanks for purchasing our products, we try to make the best products we can, please address any QC or compatibility issues to our support phone or email accounts so we can more efficiently deal with them.”
also hey VO u guise need to find someone who can make a seatpost the right size
coz this shit is not 27.2
other than that hey good job lots of setback nice adjustment
too bad i can’t ride it coz it slips
he/they aren’t interested in what we think.
that’s why the name calling and the sarcastic posts like “it’s keeping me up at night…” or the sarcastic use of the word “feedback”…lulz…“For the record, I never called you guys stoners- that was another tweeter. I actually defended Tarck. But whatever- provide more ‘feedback’.”
he sick burn’n us all over twitter. my feelings are getting hurt.

i told you.
send it back.
maybe your shitty trek 728 has a shitty seattube…wait how many other 27.2 posts worked fine in there and didn’t cause the binder bolt to squeeze the lug so tight that you had to take that cable hanger out from between?

I think its your frame. My 27.2 seat post is very true to size.

It really is kind of insane to be arguing with and shit talking your customers though. I’ve honestly never seen something like this before, who does that???
its not my frame
i’ve had three different 27.2 posts that worked fine (2 were campy and one was the original post)
and this is a big difference in the amount i had to tighten it to make the VO post work
i had to take out a spacer that i had in there to hold a brake cable for the old centerpull brakes
(which is fine i just left it in so iwouldn’t lose it not using the centerpull brakes anymore)
but then i still had to tighten it so much that the seat lug is completely cinched together and touching
and i know it isn’t the binder bolt
because i’m using a bolt with a nut and a washer
totally ghetto i know but thats the way it was when i got it and its my beater bike
anyway VO must have gotten their customer service from
portland cyclewear (owner went onto FGG and talked mad shit to everyone a few years ago)
maybe VO will change their name in a few years
You know what, check the twitter, I looked on my phone and most of the really insane shit was being said by some other dude, not VO. VO still put “feedback” in quotes, but the dude calling us stoners was someone else.
That guy is a cock, if he were selling something, I wouldn’t buy shit from him. VO still seems alright honestly, though I wouldn’t buy their cranks

lol that t rex so amazing

This. You’ll get into a petty twitter battle with all kind of public calling out because you can’t deal with a negative review or twenty, but you won’t come talk to us directly? Not that every dealer has to come onto every forum to respond to every review, but if you are going out of your way to marginalize the fairly unified opinions of a sizable group of PAYING CUSTOMERS, it hardly seems like you are saving much time or trouble (or face) by staying away. If you didn’t want to get involved, why link to it on Twitter? Would have been better to keep it to yourself or else talk to us directly instead of this passive aggressive twitter bullshit.
Meh, even acknowledging that other person beyond, “thanks for your support” is unprofessional. It’s not like this it someone’s personal twitter who happens to work for VO, it’s their business account. I run/manage twitters for a few orgs/businesses, and I would never even consider posting anything like this on the official account. They just took a review that they could have dealt with in a professional manner by simply requesting direct contact, and put it out there, along with some weird, confrontational responses, for the entire world to see on their twitter account. It’s just a really weird way to handle it, from a personal, business, or social media standpoint. Is any benefit to VO going to come from this? Would any benefit have come from that first post? No.
In regards to the seatpost thing, mine did require a tiny bit more tightening than the Campy Record post I had in the frame before, but I haven’t had any slipping issues.
speculating
perhaps teh post is slipping because it tapers at teh top
i have about a fistful of seatpost showing
and the top of the V is visible the rest of teh logo is hidden
so it may be 27.2 at some point and then get smaller
but i’ll have to measure it later and figure out for sure if it is 27.2
