As for the response, it seems obvious that the dudes at VO aren’t quite sure how to respond. I’m going to repeat what I wrote earlier in this thread, VO is not some giant corporation with a marketing department or a PR firm. I’m pretty sure they’re only about a half-dozen employees and if they’re anything like Rivendell, they’re in a little shop with a roll-up door somewhere in the industrial part of town next to a transmission shop.
I’ll wager that they would prefer to have happy customers.
