put some MKS grip king lambda pedals on the trucker, which still has a non functioning chainring.
Yesterday I regreased the BB, cleaned the chain, removed 6lbs of salt, and rode like 40 miles.
âŚoh and lost my blinkey.
Do think we can get a review of the grip kings after you get some miles on them?

Yes sir!
Platforms on the trucker?
That makes no sense to me.
Why would you want to ride 100 miles with half a pedal stroke?

Riding without clips and straps is not half as efficient as riding with. One doesnât really pull up that much when theyâre spinning and most of your power is in a small part of the pedal stroke in any case.
I hate to have grant peterson speak for me on the matter, but he gives more or less an idea of where iâm coming from.
When iâm on that bike the last thing i care about is how efficient my stroke is. I donât want to think about anything athletic, I just want to travel at a pace that allows me to take in some of my surroundings.
When I did the SF tour I did 50-70 miles a day in really soft soled shoes on these terrible pedals and was in better health than most everyone else save for a crazy athletic runner guy who did yoga and shit. It was also him and me in the front of the pack the entire time.

and that article that everyone should read by now, regardless of how one-sided, retro-grouch-curmudgeony it truly is:

Not the one I tried to attend yesterday.
As I said, I am dumb.
I went to a swap meet yesterday and scored a seatpost mounted rack, NIB suzue rear hub, some random bar tape & NIB rolls saddle all for $117. The rack goes on tonight to carry my school books, saddle tomorrow.
Last night I went to halbrittâs house and we did a temp bike swap â he got my Kilo and I got his Azonic DJ bike. It was hella fun riding it around the Tenderloin, and my singer already wants to buy it.
Today i rode the PanaParamount to work, after rewrapping the bars, swapping pedals, and general tuning.
Looked menacingly at the old fixed gear for having a cracked tt. Considering covering it with epoxy to get me to school tomorrow.
I tried this, but my B17 gots holes in it, so then I snorted it off my seatstays, chainstays, fender, and the ground. It wasnât ideal, but it worked out okay. Any solutions to this problem?
riding platforms is douchey.
