What did you do to your crosscheck today?

Thank you Igor.

I don’t know how involve you were with with R&D of those bars, but fuck you [all] did a great job. Width and sweep are excellent!

O fuk
What’s geometry look like on that?
Bb drop/height?
Are those 650bs?

650x47b, unless the tires are lying to the world.

Geometry = idk it’s like a 19-21” mtb from 1994. BB is sorta high but it works as a yolo-wagon.

I’ll try to get some better/real numbers this weekend.

71° HTA, 73° STA, about 590 ett?

:clinking_glasses: thanks for the kind words. Lots o R&D to get the shape just right. Glad you like them! I have a set in my Piolet and they’re a hoot!

Wanna sell me the Jones bars?

Yeah man, $90 shipped sound good?

I didn’t do it, but I took my Record Ace to my framebuilder because I suspected it was out of alignment. It always rode fine, but it pitched over the the right when riding no-hands.

He just texted me and said the rear triangle was out by about 15mm.

Holy Heck!

I wonder if it’s a “friday” bike and has always been this way, or if it got wrecked at some point.

I’m gonna have to re-dish the rear wheel for sure though.

I dithered my rain/basket hybrid to fruition. Front wheel is in loan from the Paramount as I had a mystery tubeless flat this morning wth. Fenderlines are trash because I’m using 700c ALXs that have been lovingly reradiused a few too many times. I’ll get some PDW fenders this spring when I redo the drivetrain with something a little less goofy.

It’s giving me all of it. Feeing good about all of my bikes and can’t wait to build up the Woodrup.

Is that one of those dithering framesets being sold by a tarcker here few months ago?

Yeah! @sparksflyhigh made it as part of his grand planing experiment!

After the BB7 lock-up incident (partially my fault) I got some of those OEM non-series Shimano hydros and that’s an amazing amount of braking performance at $65 for a bikesworth.

BB7 lockup incident?
and yeah. pre bled lever hose and caliper for the price of one cable actuated caliper? and it’s real good too? no brained. blew my mind how good they are

On a wet and grimy ride the pads wore to where the little cable guide shoe on the lever arm was able to rotate up to the the cable stop and wedge itself against the rubber exit boot.

But yeah, just bolt it on, no bleeding or adjustment needed. Well, a little adjustment. I didn’t want as much throw so I took the wheel out and put a Park spoke ruler in between the pads and pumped the lever to get a little less throw.

Figured out a way to mount my light on my road bike that allows me to run a 32!
