What did you do to your crosscheck today?

Sometimes you do the dither and sometimes the dither does you.

Got it most of the way built. I forgot to get the the chairpole out of the car before my partner went to work.

I’ll be able to magic gear it with 34:18…probably too stout but I’m gonna give it a go.

What should I do?

  • Over geared single speed
  • Parts bin 9 speed
  • 12 speed wallet fire

You could do a Box or Microshift 8 or 9 speed, too. Wide range MTB gearing is one of this century’s crowning achievements.

Changed the fixed to 42x17. More fun in the short time I rode it. Finally changed the front tube with a slow leak

Not to my bike, but one of @LASER_BEIGE 's frames that has been sitting in my bike mess for A While; noticed it was starting to get rusty, so I cleaned up the rust spots and slapped a coat of primer onto the thing. I dunno when it’s going back home, but at least ugly primer is better than inch-deep layers of of rust.

Went on the big shut down traffic ride and rode there. Had edible ice cream and it was one of the best rides I’ve ever done. The surrons were even fun to watch.

Seriously, it’s like there was a mental reset.

New tires because I’ve been regularly pushing the grip of my Terreno Dry when riding trail. These tires are 100% not as fast as the Terreno, but the grip is way better on rock and roots. Still dialing in tire pressure.
I can’t be sure right now, but the sidewalls feel a lot stiffer than the Dry did making pinch tests for pressure a lot harder. Maybe its fresh tires vs 6mo old tires?

not true some of the vegan options are not edible

Maxxis sidewalls have always been stiffer, in my experience. I like them offroad especially for that reason.

It makes me wish I had a digital gauge to check the pressure on the fly. It feels impossible to check pressure by a pinch.

It was the weed kind.

I don’t think putting weed in something automatically makes it edible. There’s weed in my bbq grill and you don’t want to taste my bbq grill
