Did some brake lever dithering over the weekend. On Saturday, the Polyvalent got some XTR levers in place of the cheap Tektros and I didn’t even have to do anything other than a few twists of the barrel adjuster. On Sunday, the Boost got some MT401 levers in place of the M6100s and gd was that a mess. I haven’t dithered with wet brakes in like seven years and am very out of practice. It took 3.5 hours. It was nice tho on the ride into work today because that let me adjust the brake and shift levers inboard a bit so my right hand felt less cramped on the grip and was able to angle the Bosch display just right. More work was planned for that bike but I was Done after that.

I know I’ll come to regret it, but the steering linkage on my bakfiets was squeaking like an old screen door so I sprayed some WD in the joints and now it’s quiet and the bars are easier to turn lol.

Prototype Growtac joints. A bit finicky to install the first time, but damn are they comfortable and shifting is smooth.

No, there is an inner campy-like thumbie to reduce cable tension. This is in all friction mode. I think they’re still dialing in the indexing inserts.
