Replaced the Microsoft advent “trail” trigger shifter on my xtracycle with one that allows index upshifting and thumb downshifting. Shifting performance much better now (ok the new cable and housing has something to do with that). Really hate thumb up shifting

So I finally put that Campandgoslow tape on my bike.
I regret it.
The cushion is fine, but the threaded outer texture is kinda rough, and is way less comfortable to bare hands than the Ergon tape it replaced. It feels robust though, and I’m betting it will last longer than cork when it comes to discoloration.
I don’t recommend it unless you always use gloves, and you prioritize having a tape keep it’s color for a long period of time.
Had been tinkering with Surly Corner Bars on my P-29er, and overall it was a failure. But needing longer brake lines for that worked out in my favor for today’s swap to Kyotes. Lots of room for the duck camo bag on the r-w-b cruiser.

Probably too little, too late for it to matter in the grand scheme of things. But a Domane SL will in fact take a measured 50mm 650b tire. Clearance is ~3mm.
Edit: 57mm is an absolute no go

Put sealant in the tires and wiped it down as motivation to do Saturday morning group rides and make friends. Have Silca bar tape for it but that’ll be a reward for actually riding.

I was given this Fargo and am passing it along to my coworker’s boyfriend. I’m pretty sure I have parts laying around to build it up 1x9 or 2X9 with an 8 speed Altus dangler, bar end shifters and BB7s but waiting to see if he wants to drop any money on making it shreddierrr. More shredly.
Homie who gave it to me replaced it with a Kona Coco. Such an awesome upgrade.
