What did you do to your crosscheck today?

And lose the retrogrouch market?

It hurts, but there are a lot of people willing to spend a bunch of money on retrogrouch shit. Like it or not, that’s the way it be :frowning:

I’m just thinking of all the sw8 steel 1" 700c frames that could be lowtrailbroed and mullet braked with just this fork…

We will. In a while. Sales are truckin along, and feedback has been really positive. Can’t argue with that! [shoulder shrug guy]

Do a second brand and do modern tarck approved steel bikes. Call it blarck or something.

Do you put a spare tube in one and a tire lever in the other.

I have one on my basket and it makes a great place to jam my phone, wallet and keys, so I don’t have to deal with them in my pockets while I ride. Same as my feedbag.

works great until you’re in a gas station getting some corn nuts and a vanilla diet coke and HOLY FUCK your phone and your wallet are both still on your completely unsecured bike.
I speak from direct, sphincter-clinching experience on this matter.

That problem is already very well addressed by https://crustbikes.com/products/1-threaded-fork/

and woah they started selling the threadless one too! https://crustbikes.com/products/lightning-bolt-fork/

Pump, box-end wrench, large stuff sack and bungee cord (for unexpected rack-top schlepping) in one. Lock in the other. Tube, lever and patches in seat scrote, might move those in with the lock and ditch seat bag. I wanted to avoid the trunk bags to keep the top available for dragging home road treasures.

Am I crazy, or do they neglect to state whether that’s 1" or 1 1/8"?

Gotta be 1 1/8", right?

1-1/8"

I would be so on that if it wasn’t over twice what the frame it would go on was worth.
