I accidentally’d some ham.
I regret selling my Fatboy. That’s a real fun bike.
Feeling good about this! Like it doesn’t have thru-axles but who cares I’m not hucking it 5’ to flat or anything. It’s in essentially as-new condition with the nice grips/pedals/fenders/cage already on it. Feels relatively lightweight and well put together. And I was keen to get something that would take 4.6 tires.
For once I got smart and bought this (for $0.5 bongs) in the off-season. Because we get a real winter and also have actual groomed hambike trails about 20min up the road, these generally hold their value pretty well and are tricky to buy once it starts getting cold out in the fall.
Jealous. I keep looking for a deal like this but no dice.
I’m so goddamn jealous of this.
If I had groomed trails I’d still have ham.
Is Proviz stuff any good? These look cool.
As do these
I’d usually take a flier on them and report back but the “micro fleece” liner looks like the kind of terrible plastic fabric that I can’t stand touching so someone else is gonna have to try them. I’m interested in high viz waterproof reflective gloves for sure.
Anyone have some shoulder season gloves that they love. Maybe a little warmer than the showers pass knit gloves?
like Chicago shoulder? I usually wear DnD down to the mid-40’s and then switch to neoprene scuba gloves.
If you want a really deep cut that probably hasn’t been available in 2 decades, Assos used to make ninja turtle style overgloves that were pretty good.
The old Descente Coldout fleece stuff was the jam. Warm down to 40F or so, really low profile. Ain’t seen them in awhile.
Someone here recommended cross-shopping XC ski gloves, probably a good plan.
100% makes a good waterproof glove.
Endura Windchill is my favorite shoulder season glove.
Showers pass not wool gives me all of it.
I got some of those but my hands and feet are the only parts of me that get cold really and they’re insufficient sub 40.
Also, the kid that works the register at the place I get lunch a lot doesn’t believe that he’ll see me on my bike in December. He was totally incredulous.
I said you’ll see dude.
Why not neoprene hand covers
Oh I love my neoprene bar mitts but they’re annoying and dorky and I like to delay putting them on as long as I can stand it.
Honestly, just a set of leather Kinco pigskin gloves or similar lightly insulated leather, like Black Diamond Dirtbag- they’re just so affordable and well wearing
If that’s not your jam tho I love the Gore C5 Thermo when it gets around freezing and it’s not full on ski glove time yet
These look awesome. I ordered a pair. What kinda goop do I get to rub on the leather? Do I have to do anything?
