Frankly I prefer rain. Snow is so challenging for so many reasons when you’re trying to run a retail business. But it is what it is / the snow is the snow

I mostly prefer the snow for the sake of my mental health. Consecutive days of rain tend to send me into a depression spiral.

Just the opposite for me. I’ll take rain over snow every time, even though it looks pretty great out today with all the fresh snow and sunshine.

That is a great point. I was SO done with PNW winters after 15 of them.
But frankly, winter is hard for me no matter what. We had a 40 degree day last week and it felt like taking a drug.

I’ve been in and out of town for the last two months, visiting warmer climates, and I’m not sure how many more Midwest winters I’m ready to sign up for.
I’m spending almost two weeks in Southern California in march and the weather BETTER BE GOOD. my parents said it’s been pretty shitty lately
i like it when the weather is appropriate for the season. winter rain is horrible. 50 in summer is not horrible but not what i want. i would like for every day in february to be 20 and snowing, and every day in july to be 82 and sunny. don’t mix it up

Winter rain is the absolute worst. 1C and wet is by far the coldest ride. -15C and dry is pretty cold but at least it doesn’t creep into my bones.

My brother-in-law lives in Missoula and always gives us crap for our weather not being cold. Near freezing and raining is the worst, by far. -10C and sun is cold, but tolerable.

My hambike ride yesterday I kept thinking their was a far-off airliner cruising by, but just my tires on the snow. At other times the sound perfectly mimics a punctured tire bleeding air. It’s a bit annoying, but I’m happy with the tradeoff of being out for a ride!

Had my first ice dump of the season. 35 and raining natch. On the bike trail, layer of ice and laid it down nice and gentle-like. A good fall, all things considered.
Walked over to the road and finished my trip.

How does one define “trail” on a ski bike? I guess it’s the center of the contact patch, in which case this bike looks like it has negative trail? So it should be fine to put a front basket on there. Talk about getting out over your skis!
