Where was my bike made?

Taiwan
Taiwan
Taiwan
America (well, it says “hand-built in the US from foreign and domestic parts” on it)

tandem: arizona
track: arizona
basket: who knows but i think japan
cx: usa (i think, aren’t poprads made from 853 in wisc?)
road: california
mountain: taiwan
touring: usa (or maybe not, depending on what trek did in the early 90s)

I don’t care where my bike was made, so long as the robot that made it is white.

are there any companies that make components in the us or is that article’s entire point moot?

Phil Wood, Chris King type shit maybe? I thought all that boutiquey stuff was hand made by old men in the sheds out back their estates although I could be wrong.

Who cares about where it came from at this point, the real question is:

WILL IT BLEND?

As we’re making lists;
Giant - Taiwan.
De Rosa - Italy.
Surly - Taiwan.
Jury - Fuck knows, prolly China. Maybe Taiwan.
Schwinn - America, cause vintage.

And waiting on another American, which is being made by a very tall man in a leather apron who might or might not take copious smoke breaks.

Am I the only person on tarck with a Swiss bike? HY.

bigbike made in murrica

America, Taiwan, America, Taiwan, China

Just wanted to add that things change really fast in this industry. Some of this article is outdated already. And there is no doubt in my mind that a good amount of high end production will move over to China in the next 2 years. And after that, Vietnam and Cambodia.
