Where was my bike made?
taiwan, taiwan, taiwan, taiwan, taiwan, taiwan

at least it’s not china…
wats wrong with china?

they probably make every tool the bike will see from raw tubing to finished product.

i dont get the china hate

My dad always taught me. It’s not what country it is made in, it’s what type of management and what type of person is running the factory.
It’s not what country makes it, it’s who is making it and how good they want to make it. It’s how tight you control your QC and how much you demand of the workers. If you don’t demand anything of course quality will be inconsistent and crap. If the boss only wants to make bikes for walmart, it doesn’t matter if the factory is in the USA, the quality will still be shit.

^Hi tzu I agree to a certain extent but overcoming cultural differences in the workplace is harder for some places compared to others. Not saying difference in culture is bad, but type of management and type of person usually comes with cultural undertones which may not be understood or easily conveyed to the workers. Hard to get rid of the “us or them” mentality.
Anyways…
Tarck: Japan (Maruishi)
Road: Japan (Panasonic) and Belgium (merckx)
Other: Taiwan (Surly) USSR (can’t read the name)

Surly - Taiwan
Trek - USA
Klein - USA
Cracknfail - USA

Not even on purpose. I don’t really care where my used bikes were made. Buying new bikes is kind of a ripoff if you don’t go custom or have some type of EP.

azn gfs grandpa has an iron rod and metal factory

in taiwan

girlfriend owns a cilo as well.
so, technically, yes. yes you are

fuck the swiss.

also, no problem with where things are made in the modern world. there’s a reason all of the high end crabon is outsourced to china/taiwan. shit’s bloody esspensive to deal with, and they make a quality product at a cheaper price.

plz don’t start economics chat.

Two actually. I mistakenly thought the early non-3Rensho Allez was made in America. Did some reading and turns out that both are likely made in Japan by Miyata.
