Where's the Terrible Handlebars Thread?

Um, okay dude who put drop bars on a mountain bike. But of course it was performance and scientifically proven.

Drop bars aren’t used on mountain bikes.

Some classic PVD laughs in there

I’m sure he wouldn’t consider that thing a mountain bike

HTA over 70° and it’s definitively just a road bike

those 1990s XC courses were mostly just roads too

but it has a dropper

Bars themselves are fine, but positioning is godawful

i find the whole bike to be quite objectionable.
-1x on that bike??
-is that some silver housing and some white housing, or is it just the lighting?
-the pedals wtf

it’s a parts-bin build that they shot in a photo studio and put on a custom frame.

silver brake housing and white shift housing
TC I also like to do this
it makes it easier to tell which inline barrel adjuster does what

just always use yokozuna. brake cable is chonky and shift cable is skinny

Interrupter levers!

Straight post set at no particular height. The bike looks parts binnish for sure.

I see nothing wrong with those bars/levers, beyond being instaperfect

levers be too jaunty

pretty sure those levers come with inserts to be used with traditional bars that flatten out the ramps.

tc: i kinda like it. Only unquestionably bad part is the clamp on cable stop on the stem instead of one mounted on a headset spacer

oh and the pedals i guess
