White Deep V vs Black Campagnolo Omega on a celeste Pista

oh decisions. so i happened upon this complete 1996 (lugged) pista in celeste for $350 and i dont have the money or desire to keep 2 fixed bikes around so i will be parting with my beloved red centurion conversion.

this will probably be a landslide poll but im trying to decide if i should sell the campy wheelset or the velocity wheelset when i buy the pista.

the veeps are laced to formula (rear) and campagnolo gran sport (front, radial)

i dont know anything about the omegas, but i like the idea of having campagnolo rims and hubs. however i also like my white veeps…but on a celeste pista? :bear:

it would be ridden mostly on the streets of dallas, but i would also take it to the track every now and then.

Wait so are we supposed to pick which wheelset you sell or keep?.
edit: re-read. I think we are supposed to pick which wheelset to sell. Correct?

id like to know which is better, all around

will edit for clarity.

keep the Omegas for Sure!

Which Omegas? I have seen tubular Omega Strada (?) and clincher Omega Vs.
Either way Campy > Velocity.

Ok, after clarification (and subsequent changing of vote)…

clincher

This is really happening…

Real poll.

What is there to contemplate???
Campy…Velocity…Campy…Velocity…
Seriously?

This thread almost sucks as bad as the “wow platforms brakeless suck” thread :colbert:

Fuck this thread.

Slap yourself in the face HARD for even asking this question.

The bike is a lugged Bianchi. Anything that does not have “campagnolo”, “3t”, or “itm” pantographed in it is a major fail.

Deepvs… you gotta be kidding me. This whole thread is a joke right?

hahahaha ok.

just making sure.

aesthetically speaking, i just dont like the look of black -anything- on a bike save for tires.

what’s a deepV wheelset go for these days? like $100?

on the topic of asthetics- black and celeste looks FAR bettet than white and celeste.
I think you could probably get 200 for them from some newbie.

the thing already has a generic crankset, chainring, post and an ugly salsa stem. those will need to go. fortunately there is a big swap coming up.

Are you sure this guy is gonna sell it to you?
You can usually trust cl sellers as far as you can throw them.

he seems pretty willing. said he’d see if he could have a friend of his meet me to sell it since hes not around at the moment.

im really going to miss my red and white crapmachine if this does happen.

i have a CL ad for my deepVs sitting in my inbox ready to publish…

Pm me with how much you want for them, adam. I’m interested.

I understand the poll but not why its necessary.

are your deep v’s machined also how much do you want for them
