Wool Jerseys

I wants.

Recommendations? Theres a lot of options, i dont want to spend my hard earned scrilla in the wrong place.

I found this place with some really groovy stuff, but i always feel apprehensive to wear “team” jerseys, even if the team is extinct. I feel like people expect something from you when you show up with a Molteni jersey.

I recommend used - ebay, craigslist, thrift store, etc… Spending $100+ on a jersey is stupid.

i dig the latter part of that

dude, who cares if you wear a team jersey? look at every other sport.

Chainlove has the Swobos on sale every once in a while for $40 something

i’m a little biased to this one

Listen to the fat chick when it comes to team jerseys. Anyone who thinks you’re a douche for wearing a teamjersey is a douche and their opinion doesn’t matter. If you want new, I can suggest Swobo (wait for them to show up on bonktown), Oregon Cyclewear (pretty solid customer service considering it’s basically one guy), and the Cutter merino jersey from bonktown/ backcountry. The swobo and cutter jerseys are pretty thin but did fine keeping me cool in cold weather. They also look really nondescript so I felt fine wearing one to the bar with a wicking shirt underneath- kept me cool unless the weather dipped below 40 then I’d opt for a jacket on top of everything and I didn’t feel like my clothes screamed cyclist. The OCW jersey is noticeably thicker. I haven’t gotten to put it through it’s paces yet but the others in the group buy seemed happy with it’s performance.

Best bet, do the craiglist / ebay route. like someone else said, paying more then 100 bucks for a jersey is dumb.
i got the cutter merino jersey off of bonktown for 40 bucks at like 3am. ive worn it around town in everyday life since it’s thin and not too hot.
also got a castelli retro jersey for about 50 and some change also, which is alot thicker but does the job of keeping me warm.

I got a “vintage” jersey off of ebay a while ago for but it doesnt fit me, its a size large but my shoulders are way too broad for it. so be sure to get the measurment of the dude or girl that’s actually wearing it before you buy it.

my friend bought me the cinzano jers from vintage velos and it is nice. real nice. but stupid large money!. i think we paid somewhere between a quarter and a third of that price for the portland cyclewear GB and they are great jerseys too. they’re not quite as nice as the vintage velos/woolistic jerseys, but they are just thick enough, high quality, and with a slightly more aggressive/racey cut.

i’d go the ebay route. a lot of stuff seems to crop up and get sold for not much

I have a nike one that I got for $50 locally but they appear on ebay sometimes too. I really like it.

thanks for all the good advice. ima keep my lids peeled on bonktown and ebay.

damn you ant.

My fave jersey was a new Canari one that no one on eBay but me wanted to bid on for some reason, so it was $7 shipped. Paying full price is kind of dumb, but unlike synthetic jerseys, wool ones will last forever (unless you have moth problems), so paying $100 for something that will last you for 15 years of constant use seems ok to me.

If you’re going to wear it, get a PCW.

If you want something that looks cool, go “vintage”.

what if i wanna secks in it?

I’d be down for another PCW group buy whenever. I suppose one of you northern hemisphere folks will organise another once the thermometer starts dropping.

I love mine and would like to get a 100% wool in one of the colours I prefer. (I got the same wool/poly blend, green one that Ant has but would like red and/or blue)

I got some nike ones on super ultra closeout at the lbs. I think I paid 30 bucks or something redic like that. I like em a lot but they’re short sleeve.

just picked up a Swobo merino wool jersey for $45 here. stoked.

For shitz and giggz I just took my short sleeved PCWxTarckbike collabo wool jersey out in 30C/ 86F degree heat. My bud Rich and I went up Mount Seymour, our local monster climb. The jers is very heavy weight for a cycling jersey and it got soaked with sweat, but it was still surprisingly cool whenever it had any kind of breeze on it. That wicking action really works. I left the zip up the whole time.
