that’s a lot of leverage on those points when you’re braking. I’d probably want to at least steady a big sheet (like drywall?) with a strap or two so that there’s consistent retaining pressure on them.
engineering aside, I love this energy and excited to see where it takes us
Well, if you’re riding with a huge opaque board right in front of you, probably it takes you to urgent care before long
I appreciate the choice of @Andrew_Squirrel color scheme for that clamp tarckshoop.
Where’s that pic from? Looks radavistish but do not see in their recent posts.
good job of shopping out the hand
i’d be portaging ~24x32 sheets of plywood. just too big to conveniently transport inside of the basket
Oh yeah that’s probably fine, can you rest the grabbers on a crossbar?
I’m thinking portage stuff sitting on top of the crate. Clamps at the back of the basket, pressing down. Folding shelf brackets on the front of the basket, deployed for larger sheets. Rubber gasket across the basket edge and brackets for grip.
i like where your head is at jimmy

Man, nothing carries odd shaped trash like a longtail!
I miss mine.
Why do folks hate the Omnium?
Too high COG for real heavy stuff
Great for a zillion pizzas or FedEx medium bixes
How janky would a Clydesdale fork on a low travel hard tail frame be? Something like this:
It is at once too big and too small.
Like it’s too big to have the load above the wheel but to small to really load up. It has the same footprint as a Bullitt but carries half as much.
The legendary tall longtail cycle truck!
Just you wait I have something in the works.
