A safe space to complain about jackass humans

I don’t encounter many salmon anymore, but I don’t ride around the city as much as I used to. I’ve also decided that most bike infrastructure is functionally broken so just ignore all rules (my rules: look both ways for police, yield to pedestrians and/or apologize). Sometimes I am the salmon. For a while I was riding from 42nd to 44th up Lexington to dock my citibike yolo dgaf lol.

I used to give salmon a “cheerio, welcome to America! We travel on the right here” but I had to stop when I moved to France because the salmon were so abundant I was going to blow a gasket.

Abundant salmon should please the tarckbear shartmo

I don’t encounter much here but when I do it is always somebody on some sort of e-scooting device looking at their phone

Here it’s usually a guy on a cruiser with a lawnmower engine hacked onto it spewing a tail of blue smoke.

preaching to the choir here

Not exactly the norm here but caught this among the construction worker vehicles a couple of months ago

Given the driver is probably like 5’7" and given the spacing I think you are looking at how far away he needs to be to see a fucking van

Carolina Lift? Should be 100% illegal.

Yeah but as we know the car mod guys have adopted a strength in numbers strategy to avoid ever being ticketed, which seems silly given the cops don’t care! This guy probably wouldn’t get ticketed for his lift unless he was drunk and killed a toddler

this shit, speeding and running lights are the only cases where I support the surveillance state being used to ticket these offenders mercilessly

the ‘stupid wheels on previously useful vehicles’ theme suggests they’re both owned by the same person and the distance is so they can pull out without backing up

Well in this case I can tell you it was different dudes. That was the only day I saw that pick-up at the job site, but that van was there every day for a month. It was pretty funny, the van would be in a different spot in the morning and in the evening, and then at 5 there were always like 4 or 5 guys in it (I’m assuming hiding from their wives/mothers). The wheels make more sense once you understand it was somebody’s mobile breakroom lol

4 or 5 guys in an astro van with chrome rims sounds like a shaggin wagon
