I’m willing to bet someone jumped the gun and took down the construction signage too early. I bet a sign was always planned, it just didn’t go up yet. The misaligned crosswalk striping says they’re planning more work soon. Maybe repaving in the next year or so?
They did that at a new crosswalk with a median near me. It got opened for a couple of days, then closed again and more signs added. Then opened again.

Yeah that’s the old crosswalk from before the new school. I agree, there is probably more work to do and whoever took the barriers down has more faith in drivers than I do lol

There’s a house in Vancouver, WA that has concrete quarterpipes off of the city sidewalk. Their steps make a gap. It’s pretty rad.
