Yes. That is V dumb. I had a guy with a 28h Reserve wheel that came on his SC Ebike. Nothing but trouble. They gave up and sent him a 32 h rim and we laced it up with DT alpines. He’s been good ever since.
The 28h OEM wheel (usually from Trek or Specialized) is infuriating. No chance it’s not just a shitty cost saving move.
