All things NuMTB thread, now lower longer and slacker

Those mesh-like honeycomb patterns are incredible to look at.

Initially thought it was just a slick slopestyle bike.

Is it just me or does that down tube look undersized?

I hope the fork crown clears the down tube too…

IRD makes a cheapish mechanical one that looks interesting.

ETA wait, I think that’s just one of Fred’s T-MARS poasts

Moar pics of moorhuhn.

Backing up viggen here. love love love my OneUp dropper. I had a fox transfer before that was also trouble-free but with my currrent post I was able to get a whole 20mm more travel out of the same frame and saddle. easy to work on too.

These started out as rebadged JD / Trans X droppers, then evolved to get some of their own features. You can get the JD ones cheap from Euroland, or look on eBay for Giant branded versions.

gotta filter the resin somehow bro

they have their own levers, but what’s different about the posts?

The travel adjust shim thing.

are there any 800mm carbon bars out there that have more sweep than 9 degrees? closest i could find are the sq labs with 16 degrees but theyre only 780mm.

Salsa Rustler is 11 deg back, and 6 deg up sweep with 15mm rise.

ProTaper 20/20 are also only 780mm, but 20° sweep.

Don’t know what bike this would be going on, but it’ll probably look best with surly sunrise bars

Took everyone’s advice and ordered the OneUp dropper after getting so fucking mad about my saggy KS. I should probably fix it up and probably will before I sell it, but I’m tired of riding the fucking thing. That thing has been sagging at least a little since day one and now there’s like an inch of sag. It’s a bummer to ride.

Also, took nobody’s advice and got some POC VPD System knee pads. They are pretty comfortable, though I didn’t crash today to test them out. Maybe next time.

I killed another xfusion manic cartridge in two weeks. Only thing I can think of is leaving it down for two days (driving home and then the next day).
Also ordered a OneUp.

Threw on the OneUp dropper and PNW Loam Lever on my lunch break today. Fuck me for not doing this a year ago. Took like 15 minutes including figuring out how i spec ii works and finding my tape measure.

Haven’t ridden it yet aside from a shakedown around the neighborhood, but there’s no sag, compared to the KS which sagged a couple of mm right from the start and just got worse and worse.

Now I’m feeling all fat and sassy like I could just go install that XT/SLX drivetrain I bought forever ago and never installed. That would probably involve more swearing, though.

Nah, installing a 1x drivetrain is cake.
