I really really love this bit:
“buying tools, buying parts then buying more tools to install parts!”
I love vids like these, showing of places here in Yurope that is not: Finale ligure, Fort william, Morzine/Les Gets etc.
Warning for extremely questionable music though in the first vid though…
Also this is just beautiful:
Does Tarckbear Consulting LLC own a shareholder ShockWiz?
Can we buy one with the leftover money from the restructuring?
I posted that somewhere else but the Pinkbike article has the price. $2,700 is a bit much.
File under curious, but not that curious.
I would love to try it, but yeah, going to have to wait until something like this costs a lot less.
I feel like eventually we’ll be good enough at carbon manufacturing to do something like this that doesn’t cost $2700.
But hopefully some people buy this. There are allegedly people who buy King/Enve wheelsets, which cost about what this costs. If this is half as good as they says it is, then it’s probably a better performance upgrade than those wheels.
I have always loved DW link bikes, so I have some faith in Dave Weagle.
sup wants some purple pedals for his dj, but couldnt find any cheap ones, so i was thinking of buying him some for his bday that is coming up.
anyone have any high opinions on any flat pedals that come in purple?
leaning towards the deity black kat based on qbp, looks good and not insanely priced.
not seeing a ton of options in purple at the moment, figured i’d see if tarck knew about something cool that isnt on my radar…
iSSi Stomp XL come in purple and work great.
I think my vp pedals are dying already.
Deity look a nicer purple anno for the same price as the issi.
Chromag also mags some flats in purp, but I don’t know anything else about which would be better.
Yeah, i think i like the hue on the deitys better. bike is chrome, so pedals need to pop.
the chromag pedals just look kinda uggo in general.
I haven’t taken them on dirt yet but I love the shape of the new Kona wah wah 2. The purple doesn’t really pop though…
I went and chilled with Greg who owns/operates Butter Suspension in Kent , WA last week. I wanted to get some idea about how suspension servicing goes, pretty much for my own interest as a shitty bike mechanic.
Going in, I thought that it’d really help demystify suspensions for me - but at the end of the day, while I understand the inner workings better (Greg is a great teacher), I get why there’s only a couple full service suspension shops in the area. Shit is complex (despite being kinda simple…idk), requires a 3k machine for bleeding (if you’re doing volume), and it seems ludicrously easy to fuck up and destroy a sealing surface.
Greg is super rad and incredibly knowledgeable and I’d definitely recommend him for any suspension work if you’re local. He also has cool stickers.
See. Suspension is really just a series of tubes.
Race face chesters comes in purple and are pretty affordable. Then there’s always the spendy hella purple Hope F20’s…
So I packed my bike and tent and drove down to Järvsö bike park to savour some more riding and lengthen the season, first time riding their park. They do have very limited vert and have done amazing with the small hill they have! So many fun trails and some styles that I’d really like to have here at home i Åre.
they appear to have discontinued purple, as you cant find it with any of the distributors anymore and only in a few online shops for full price.
strangely, those hope pedals also not in purp on qbp - looks like they only stock a limited selection of colors.
