I only got a full face or the bell 3r when i started going to Bikeparks. Most times doing to fast enduro/dh studf around here I donā€™t wear that stuff. Usually only races or parks.

Right on. Assuming you arenā€™t a small helmet, it currently looks like $160 is best deal. in matte black cherry gloss. Or some 'womenā€™sā€™ colors that are exactly the same size as mens. These are pretty great half shells, too. shop hookup is only a bit better.
Maybe things will get cheaper as 2019 colors come out, but they may already be out given the choices (matte yellow def seems new).

I also donā€™t want to crash on my fancy Rudy Project roadie helmet.

I bought one of these for park days. Its light and comfortable and has some pretty good reviews for a cheap helmet.

I did notice that there are some really cheap MIPS out there now, but at 160 that Bell makes a lot of sense for an all-purpose off road helmet.
