That man can ride pretty much anything any where.
is this gud buying for my non-boost anthem?

240 hub gotta be worth the price of admission, 22.5mm, 26mm external
that’s a really narrow internal width for a mtb rim these days. i wouldn’t bother with it.
Yea, even my gravel adventure time bike has rims that’re 25mm
Or question how rad you get vs how much you appreciate light wheels. For a 2.2 or smaller, that works. Larger and you might be wishing for a wider rim.
Internal of 27 is what you need for 2.6 I think.
May be wrong. I’d double google that number.
that’s a fucking phenomenal price for a 240 hub tho
yeah this is for my anthem so XC setup kinda (running 2.3s now), still dithering cuz i’d need to buy thru axle hanger + thru axle as well coz it’s currently QR
More like 12 months for wipers, gut orings only when there’s an issue.
Buy that now anyways. They are getting harder to hunt down.
giant use a dumb thread pitch for the 2015 frames so i gotta get this spendy axle https://www.jensonusa.com/Giant-RWS-Rear-Thru-Axle-12X142
WTB: advice on dropper post.
I’m going to order something QBP carries, because I get it at cost. So far I’m looking at:
Rockshox Reverb
Raceface Turbine R
There’s a Ritchey WSC Kite as well, slightly more $$ than the other two
and they’ve got a bunch of KS ones, but IDK anything about that company
I got a maxle that fit. I have a 2016 and I think it’s the same. It was like $15
Reverb is kind of fiddly and the full run hydraulic actuation is annoying imo. Also the chain reaction brand dropper might be cheaper than those at cost. I’ve been most impressed with the giant brand droppers and hated the specialized (pain to service and dangerously fast on return) and ks (way too slow on return) droppers. Idk anything about the raceface but I’d buy the chain reaction one before I’d get a reverb.
Also, pvd really hates the raceface control lever, so there’s that
KS Lev series is good - cartridge will fail at some point out of warranty so that’s 130 dollars. Not 100% serviceable at shop level, well it is, but a pain in the ass.
Reverb - actually a fan of them. Super easy to service and the hydraulic lever is a non issue if bled correctly, just like any hydraulic brake
RaceFace - run away
Ritchey. no no no
Thomson. Non no no
Giant - great posts - cartridges are 60 bucks and take 5 minutes to switch out, if that
Specialized - nut destroyer and leak air
Mostly agree with ^, except the turbine r is just a fox transfer and so far has been good.
People shit on giant coz giant. Sup put hers through muddy hell for two years with no issues.
anyone have experience with the current trek bontrager dropper? it’s different than the first one they put out.
had one that came stock on a 2019 fuel for one ride so far with no incidents, and man is the EP price good if i ever need another
Is the 2019 dropper.different from the 2018 dropper?
I have whatever they we’re putting on 2018 bikes and have had no problems all season
Lifts a bikepacking seat pack just fine too
